This interactive artist talk and workshop is based on an archetypal framework told through visual art and story. Familiar|Unfamiliar was birthed from an exploration of Blackness by a 5-week-long cohort of 13 Black-identified participants.  

Although the Familiar Framework was developed in closed practice spaces, this event is an open practice. All are welcome.

In this session, we will engage with archetypal art and interactive self-study through the Familiar framework.  We will explore how to create visual stories by examining themes and culturally relevant patterns that evoke curiosity, choice, and deep listening.
