Our Approach

Curiosity Studio is a creative learning studio that uses art making as a way to get to know yourself and others.

We invite participants to come into the space with curiosity and pay attention to the parts of themselves that can be overlooked in their day-to-day lives. At times, a class will be a total exploration of a medium. Other times, we will emphasize the process and have no end product to frame on the wall.

We practice from an art therapy and trauma informed lens that encourage self and community care.  Our aim is to consider placemaking and art spaces as a community resource for mental health support. We believe that art has the power to connect members of the community in ways that words alone may not. This ethic informs the classes we choose to run and the events that we commit to. It is from this place that we ask partners to move with us towards more accessible, informed and liberated spaces.
