When we feel our agency to make meaning, what other interpretations are possible? By transforming the interplay of what our eyes sense and what our brains perceive, we’ll consider the ways we are constantly making meaning of a world of lines and shapes.

Through a series of exercises, participants will source text and images from books and magazines to restructure into your own poems and collages. How can we take pieces from existing things and enact our agency to make them into something else?

Accessibility: Fine motor skills will be used for cutting out source materials. Participants can remain seated for the majority of the duration of class.
