Improvisational Quilting

$140.00

This is a 3-part class*

Wednesdays, November 5th, 12th and 19th 6-8 pm

18+

Instructor: Shug

Learn how to make an improvisational quilt from scratch. This three-part workshop will explore intuitive piecing and improvisational ways of creating patterns, as well as techniques to hand sew a quilt. In this class we will reflect on what it's like to create a quilt 'as you go', and explore how to hand stitch and bind a quilt together in response to your piecing.

Please indicate if you will be bringing in your own sewing machine during registration. A few additional machines will be available for you to use during class.

Accessibility: Newbies and familiar quilters alike are welcome! Basic machine sewing skills are strongly preferred. Duration of class can be spent seated.

If you would like to request a community-funded seat to support in covering the cost of this class, please email us at curiositystudioclass@gmail.com.
