Pet Portraits
Pet Portraits
Saturday, May 17th 10 am-12 pm
Instructor: Leah
For children ages 5 and up and their adult.
Come with your child and paint a portrait of your pet together! In this class, we will explore the fun of doing both painting and printmaking through the technique of monoprints. We will print the monoprints both by hand as well as have a chance to use the studio’s new etching press! Participants can paint from memory or bring a printed photograph. Whatever method you choose, you will walk away with several original prints to bring home!
Accessibility: No painting, drawing or printmaking skills required. Fine motor skills used in class. Most of the class can be spent seated. If you have questions about accessibility, please reach out.
We will not require participants to mask during this program. We are thoughtfully making the decision to lift the mask requirement for this offering to emphasize developmentally appropriate caregiver-child engagement and remove barriers to social connection. Our facilitator will continue to be masked and a medical grade air purifier will be running in the space. Masks will be available if you choose.
At this time, we are evaluating our community’s access needs for programs and encourage you to add your voice by completing our survey.
If you would like to request a community-funded seat to support in covering the cost of this class, please email us at curiositystudioclass@gmail.com.
