Different patterns can be found both naturally occurring in our environments and developed by humans in cultures around the world. Develop your own repeat pattern to print onto paper or fabric using a block printing technique! Participants will learn how to develop a pattern that tessellates and continues seamlessly. Learn how to transfer and carve your pattern into linoleum blocks to hand print onto paper or fabric for decorative uses.

Accessibility: No prior printmaking experience needed. Fine motor skills are used in the carving process. Participants often stand during the hand-printing process but this can be adapted to a seated position if needed. Remaining parts of class can be done seated at a table.
