Queer Open Studio - October

$0.00

Tuesday October 29th 5-8 pm

Facilitator: Em

Theme: Pocket Altars and Whimsical Objects

Description: A cozy fall and winter offering, this open-studio invites spiritually inclined, witchy, or whimsical creatives to gather and create their own protective objects from found materials. Participants will use twigs or stones, yarn, fabric, and other simple items to create pocket altars, amulets, talismans, or whimsical objects made simply for the sake of art. Intuition and found objects are central to my own art, and this idea is rooted in my desire to foster connection through ritual, offering a quiet moment to reunite body and mind through the act of creation.

This Open Studio centers Queer and/or Trans participants ages 18+ for art making alongside others. Previous art making experience not required!

First come first served. No registration required. Sign up to receive a reminder email or send an accessibility request ahead of time.

Covid Safety Protocols

Masks are not required at this time. Masks continue to be available for participants and instructors that are interested in wearing them. We trust that individually and collectively we can exert care in our attendance decisions to promote the wellness of our community if feeling sick or symptomatic.
