Cassie Sawyer, LPCC, ATR, RYT instructor/collaborator

Cassie (she/her) is a social justice-oriented art therapist who weaves creativity and holistic mind-body methods into much of her clinical work.  Cassie navigates from an anti-colonial lens, and works to decolonize the mental health field.  With strong emphasis in long term healing as a collaborative process, Cassie holds space for a flexible and synergetic flow between therapist/facilitator and client/participant to best support each individual’s evolving needs.

 Addis, instructor

Addis’s (they/them) work with clay is grounded in a meditative and experimental approach through which they process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Their clay work often varies between functional wares, explorative forms, and techniques. Addis creates clay works that explore distinct lines, colors, and flowing textures.

Addis programmed a series of classes called “Carving Space,” offering intro-level clay classes at a sliding scale to Trans and Queer(T/Q) Blackfolks. They’ve also helped program “Centering Community,” another series of sliding scale, introductory clay courses for TQBIPOC at Dock 6. They also sell their personal work in various shops around Minneapolis.
