Are these kits made for artists?
No! We do not require you to have an informal or formal art background to participate. In our values, we outline voice. We believe the creative process is inherently vulnerable and is best met with gentleness and kindness. We ask that you have a willingness to try, make mistakes, and have forgiveness with yourself. Our kits will give you tools to participate in the creative process.
How long does it take to complete a kit?
One of our greatest values is process. When we put a timeline on the process, it may shortchange what we have to learn from the material and theme. We give you all of the steps, but it’s up to you to let the material guide your experience.
How do I get inspired to make?
It can be intimidating to engage in the creative process! So we include a zine in every kit to guide you through sketches, questions, and prompts to help you get inspired.
Can I do this with my kids?
Once you pick up your kit it’s yours! For some, a child can inspire you within the creative process. AND!… When was the last time you let yourself play or goof off for yourself? There is no right or wrong in how you engage with your kit. Generally, kits are curated for one adult experience.
Does a kit come with everything I need in order to complete it?
Yes! We include all the basic supplies you’ll need and usually some extras to keep you inspired. However, you may find that you’d like some extra materials from around the house on hand if it helps you in your creative process.
