Queer Open Studio: December
Queer Open Studio: December
Thursday, December 4th 6-8 pm
Facilitator: Calvin
Theme: Homecoming
Description: As we approach the darkest nights of the year, we invite you to Queer Open Studio where creation will emerge from our musing upon the theme: Homecoming.
Did you notice that feeling in your toes after its very mention?
Homecoming. What’s its texture? What image just flashed in the camera of your mind?
A Queen
Going home for the gathering
Tea and couchsnuggles?
What ever it is, Come!
Paint it out with the big brushes;
Cut it into pieces, then put it back together as a new shape.
This is the place we think with our hands, transmute onto paper, and draw the inside, out for greater understanding of ourselves and others.
What do you think of that?
Let’s explore together, Thursday, December 4.
This Open Studio centers Queer and/or Trans participants ages 18+ for art making alongside others. Learn more about Open Studio here. Previous art making experience not required!
Advanced registration required.
